Gradient Stamping with MoYou London

Hello, lovely readers! Today’s post is about something I’ve already posted on Instagram, but I have more photos and details to share. Hope you don’t mind. :-)

I’ve been wanting to try a gradient in my stamping (blending two or more colors on the plate) and was inspired by a Tervis cup I have that’s clear with a blue to green zebra print. I thought this might work on my nails, so I gave it a shot.

I had a little trouble at first figuring out how to get the colors to blend. I tried a few different techniques and finally found one that worked for me. I love how the colors blended and I will definitely use this technique again.

Here is the AMAZING plate I used – MoYou London Pro XL plate 04. I cannot tell you how much I love my MoYou London plates! My wish list is growing every week.

I covered the design with both colors, overlapping a little on the plate with the darker color (so as not to contaminate the color in the bottle too much).

Then I used the scraper to blend the colors more thoroughly by quickly and gently scraping over the design three or four times before transferring it on to the stamper. See how well the polishes blended?

Here is a photo of the design on the stamper.

Overall, I’m happy with this mani, but I kind of wish I would have done a white base instead of the nude. I’m kinda diggin’ the silver accent though. :-)

Here are the details:

Polishes used: Zoya “Taylor” (nude), “Trixie” (silver), “Ling” (blue), & “Tilda” (green).
Stamping plate: MoYou London Pro XL plate 04
Topcoat: Glisten & Glow HK Girl fast drying topcoat

MORE PICS! :-)
