“Sparkling Eye” Water Decals from La Vita è Bella

Hello lovely readers! I know I’ve kind of dropped off the map lately, but I’m hoping to get back into some more fun nail art soon. We’ve been doing some home renovations and I’ve been completely neglecting my nails. So sad.
So, to get back in the swing of things, I tried something I’ve never done before… water decals! I received these cute decals from La Vita è Bella quite a while ago. (So sorry for the delay.) This design is called “Sparkling Eye”. I was so impressed by how easy these were to apply, and I’ll get into more details in a minute. First, I did my background, which in this case is a gradient using Wet N Wild Wild Shine in “Stand The Test of Lime” and “Who Is Ultra Violet?” over Zoya “Purity”. That gradient took FOREVER to build up, by the way. The polishes were really thin. I did my thumb, index and pinkie with 3 coats of “Who Is Ultra Violet?”.
After those were all dry I carefully cut out the decal as close to the image as possible and submerged it in a shallow dish of room temperature water. After about 15-20 seconds it pretty much slid off the paper backing and I was able to grab it with my tweezers and place it on my dry nail. I positioned it a little then pressed it down lightly with a dry paper towel. Then I added Glisten & Glow “HK Girl” topcoat to seal it. It’s that easy!
After I finished this, I thought it could use a little glitter… because you can ALWAYS use a little glitter, right? LOL I added Lynnderella “Connect the Dots” over the solid purple nails to jazz it up, and I really like the final result. It’s fun, and quirky and something to jump start a creative streak (I hope!).
Thanks for reading!
